Summer Iced Coffee Event Overview
The Heirloom Iced Coffee Seminar is an exciting and interactive event
for any coffee lover. It is a 90-minute "seminar" in which we offer
a brief presentation on the history and nature of some of the world's most
exclusive and unique coffees, and then interactively create delicious iced coffees using quick and easy methods.
(For comments and testimonials from people who have attended the Event, click here.)
Our company specializes in importing old-world coffees that descend from original plantings made between the 1500s and circa 1920, mostly in Southeast Asia.We will explain why these coffees seldom find their way through the current import channels and corporate coffee companies to your table or local coffee shop. Using some of our most unique coffees, we will show you a variety of ways to make perfect iced coffee at home in under 5 minutes.
You will learn why the inexpensive Phin Filter and French Press are great ways to make full-strength Iced Coffee in minutes, and also will learn the simple formula by which to make "cold-brew" coffee concentrate you can keep in your fridge and pour over ice at any time for instant Iced Coffee gratification.
We will also be providing fresh-baked treats from a local bakery and/or cookie company to complement your iced coffees.
After the brewing, we offer an optional 20 minute "Afterparty" for guests who would like to learn to make specialty iced coffee drinks, from flavored drinks to bar drinks to frozen desserts.
After the seminar you will be able to self-select your own take-home package of coffees from a number of choices, to reflect what you enjoyed the most. You will also receive a free Phin Filter for making Vietnamese Iced Coffee and an illustrated booklet recapping what you have learned and providing a number of delicious recipes.
